Wendy’s has partnered with popular spicy chip brand Takis for a new limited edition ‘Fuego’ chicken sandwich and matching french fries.
The company hasn’t been scared to try major collabs over the years, having done a Krabby Patty meal back in 2024 in partnership with Spongebob Squarepants.
Announced on Tuesday, June 17, Wendy’s and Takis have teamed up for one of the fast-food giant’s more unique menu ideas.
Launching on June 20 in the United States and June 30 in Canada is a meal that features the Takis Fuego Chicken Sandwich and Fuego Fries alongside a bag of chips and a small drink.
Wendy’s reveals Takis sandwich and fries
The meal takes Wendy’s iconic spicy chicken sandwich and makes it even hotter with crushed Takis Fuego chips, chili lime sauce, creamy corn spread, and cheddar cheese.
For the fries, the company took their already popular potatoes and tossed them in a tangy chili lime seasoning. To make them even easier to eat, Wendy’s created a tear-away bag that opens flat, keeping your fingers from getting messy.
You can buy both items as a meal with a bag of chips and a drink, but he price is unknown as of writing.
On top of the new meal, Wendy’s is launching a game inside its app called Spice Invasion, where players “navigate treacherous terrain” to blast Wendy’s menu items with Takis to earn points and win prizes. One lucky person will win a grand prize of $10,000 as well.
This comes as the company has begun launching more of its products in supermarkets around the US, including its iconic square patties and double-smoked bacon.
