THE GRIEVING family of Teen Mom alum David Eason’s ex-girlfriend Olivia Leedham’s daughter Lailah has broken their silence on the little girl’s tragic death.
As The U.S. Sun previously reported, Olivia, 31 – the mother of David‘s son Kaden, 10 – lost her 7-year-old daughter unexpectedly on June 7.
According to a GoFundMe started by Olivia’s friend, Lailah suffered a seizure after a series of hospitalizations.
“Lailah was a bright light in their family and loved life and Jesus very much,” Alice Guy wrote.
Though Florida realtor, hairstylist and model Olivia has publicly remained silent about the horrific tragedy, her daughter’s father, Thomas Price, has spoken out to friends and family.
“Everything is a bit overwhelming,” he posted on June 10.
“But I did want to let everybody know, I’m taking my daughter to Jellybeans.
“When they closed the skating rink, I was sad that I would never get to take the kids to my favorite place growing up.
“But now my baby’s funeral will be at the [church] where Jellybeans once was.”
Jellybeans skating rink in Wilmington, North Carolina closed in 2019, and is now the site of a nondenominational local church.
The funeral service is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 14.
Lailah’s grandmother, Olivia’s mother Shellie Woodruff, also spoke out about the horrible loss.
“My 7-year-old granddaughter unexpectedly passed away yesterday morning,” she told friends on June 8.
“She was an angel from heaven and heaven called her back. Our hearts are unimaginably broken.”
David has not spoken about the loss, but his ex-wife Jenelle Evans did share a statement of support.
“I share all my condolences and my prayers out to David’s ex,” she told the The Daily Mail. “I can just not imagine how she feels right now.”
Olivia had been raising her two kids as a single mom in Naples, Florida before the tragedy.
She has had full custody of Kaden for years after a court battle with David.
Though Lailah’s father lives in North Carolina, he appeared to have a close relationship with the little girl.
“Her world was full of love, laughter, and the simple joys of a childhood richly lived,” the child’s obituary states.
“Lailah’s light touched everyone. Her kindness, encouragement, and joyful heart were gifts she freely gave.”
