Deaf Havana have shared vulnerable single ‘Hurts To Be Lonely’, taken from upcoming album ‘We’re Never Getting Out’.
With the band’s latest full-length set to be released on October 03 via So Recordings, it follows previous single ‘Lawn Tennis’.
Speaking on ‘Hurts to Be Lonely’, James Veck-Gilodi haas shared:
“It’s one of the only songs that actually made it over from the original album that we scrapped. This song had single handily driven us more insane than any other song, once Matty and I just left the studio because we couldn’t actually hack it anymore.
However, it is a song that means a lot to me, it covers the feelings of being completely alone or making your partner feel completely alone in a relationship. I barely remember writing this song but it was one of those ones that just kind of falls out of you. A lot of the lyrical content is about lying about being sober but secretly drinking and taking drugs and ending up completely isolating yourself from everyone else around you.”

Talking more about Deaf Havana’s next era, James has said:
“I used to dread going on stage and on tour. I used to dread releasing albums and talking about them because I didn’t know what I was doing. Now, I’ve never been clearer about what this all is. I know I can back myself enough to know I will put everything I have into this. And I am so proud of these songs because we worked so hard on them. This is the best Deaf Havana album and the best thing I have ever been a part of writing. I feel like this is a true fresh start.”
