She says they were introduced at a restaurant while she was having dinner with her dad, and he made a great impression.

She bumped into the Fantastic Beasts actor by chance a year later in LA, and she thought: “Oh, it’s that really hot guy from The River Cafe.

“We both just happened to be reading the same book”.

Dua believes it was fate that brought them together, and reveals: “We’re engaged. It’s very exciting.”

Dua tells Vogue Calum had the ring customed made and he sought advice from her best friends and her sister.

The Houdini hitmaker gushes: “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”

The couple are now waiting for her Radical Optimism Tour to end before planning their wedding.

She says: “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period.

“I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be.

“All of a sudden I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”

Dua, who stuns on the cover of Vogue in satin lingerie, also opens up about her teenage years in North London.

From the age of 12 to 15 she lived in Kosovo, but her parents allowed her to return to London where she was born to pursue her dream of singing.

With the consent of her parents she lived in a flat with a family friend and attended secondary school.

But Dua failed her A Levels because she was always out clubbing around Camden, adding: “When I was young, trying to get into clubs was kind of easy because every bouncer was Albanian.

“All I needed to do was speak Albanian to the bouncer.”

Her love of going out helped nurture her dreams: “My whole goal, with my show, is: ‘I want to start people dancing and I want them to leave for home dancing.

“And I guess that is to do with my love of going out and bringing people together in that time.”

Sources told The Sun back in January that Dua was engaged.

They said: “Dua and Callum are so in love and know this is forever.

“They are engaged and couldn’t be happier.

“Dua has had one of the best years of her career professionally and this is the cherry on the cake.

“Callum is such a solid support for Dua and they make a wonderful couple. Their family and friends are so happy. It’s been an amazing Christmas for them.”
