Fever Ray Reveals "I'm Not Done" Group Therapy Video

Fever Ray is back with a newly-reworked version of “I’m Not Done,” a fan-favorite track from Karin Dreijer’s 2009 self-titled debut album as Fever Ray. They’ve also revealed the song’s “Group Therapy”-themed music video.

Since appearing on their debut album, “I’m Not Done” has become a live staple for Fever Ray over the last 15 years; it’s their third most-played song behind “If I Had a Heart” and “When I Grow Up” in their live shows, and showcases Dreijer’s signature vocal tone and dense, experimental production.

Now with a revamped, club-ready beat behind it, “I’m Not Done (Therapy Session)” serves as Fever Ray’s first release since their 2023 album Radical Romantics. Dreijer introduced several characters throughout the record, several of which appear in the new music video for “I’m Not Done”: there’s the titular Fever Ray character dressed in a white suit, the grotesque, womanizing Romance, the clockwatcher Main, the witch-wizard hybrid Snusis, and the drag-inspired, axe-wielding bombshell Demona Lisa.

In the new video for “I’m Not Done,” these characters all meet for the first time in a group therapy session set in a generic rec room. The session is led by therapist Ebba, who is described in a press release as a “human improvement and performance-boosting guru.” Dreijer assumes the role of each of these characters, who take turns singing the song as the camera pans in an unceasing circle. Watch the video below.

“After following these troubled characters, I knew something had to be done and with my Human Improvement Diploma, Mindset and Performance Boosting certificate I was the right person for the cause,” says Ebba in a press release. “I convinced the Swedish government that it would cost less tax money to teach these undeveloped people some basic skills than to set them free. It was a win-win. Turn sadness into gratefulness! Why walk in circles when you can follow a straight line?”

“I’m Not Done (Therapy Session)” is just part one of Fever Ray’s new group Therapy series, with the second part of the Therapy Session set to be revealed on July 8th. Believe it or not, this also isn’t the first time that Fever Ray has offered a new version of “I’m Not Done” — back in 2019, they also revealed a “Still Not Done” club remix along with a live version of the track.
