Kelsea Ballerini fans had a good laugh at the expense of Morgan Evans during CMA Fest. They mocked him for performing with The Wiggles while their queen took over the stage at Nissan Stadium for the night show.
I was not previously aware of this drama but I very quickly learned to never get on the wrong side of The Legends, her fan club.
Let’s start at the beginning! Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans (two of the bigger names in country music over the last decade) first met as co-hosts of Australia’s Country Music Channel Awards in 2016. They started dating not long thereafter. They got married a year and a half later.

However, Ballerini filed for a divorce from Evans in August 2022, which was finalized in November of that year. Their marriage lasted approximately five years in total.
It did not take long for Ballerini to be linked to Outer Banks star Chase Stokes. They were first spotted together at the College Football Playoff National Championship in January 2023 and they are still going strong. She sang ‘Love Me Like You Mean It’ to him at Spotify House over the weekend.
The Legends love him because he’s a supportive dude.
Ballerini also performed at Nissan Stadium as one of the headlining acts for the true ‘CMA Fest’ lineup. Noah Kahan joined her for two songs, including ‘Stick Season.’
Meanwhile, Morgan Evans played on the indoor stages at the Fan Fair X. He also a did panel on children’s entertainment in country music with Caterina Mete from The Wiggles.
Kelsea Ballerini fans were very quick to point and laugh at his downfall, just check the comments on that TikTok video. She played at Spotify House and the main stage at Nissan Stadium with Kahan. He played on one of the smaller stages with The Wiggles.
I am a neutral party here. I appreciate both artists and I wish them both the best. Ballerini is happy with Stokes. Morgan Evans is dating Laci Kaye Booth. Their divorce was five years ago. Let’s move on.
With that being said, I absolutely do see the humor in the contrast between their CMA Fest Performances. It is very funny. Especially if I was a Kelsea stan.
But here’s the thing!!!!!
The Wiggles recently dropped a new country album for kids. Evans appears on two songs, which makes him cool to his nieces and nephews, which makes it cool, period.
Other artists on the album include Dolly Parton and Lainey Wilson. That’s pretty cool too!
Kelsea Ballerini fans took a victory lap on her divorce from Morgan Evans because he performed with The Wiggles at CMA Fest while she performed in front of a sold-out crowd on the biggest stage with one of the biggest surprise guests. I get it, I do. I also think it would be just as cool for Ballerini to do The Wiggles!
