Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto, Florida, just over the Manatee River from Bradenton, has been home to a truly massive alligator for quite some time. The first time we saw this gator here at BroBible was in this 2016 viral clip of the estimated 15-foot alligator lumbering across the golf course.

He’s back. And he has only gotten bigger over the past 9 years.

For my fellow Floridians, the Buffalo Creek Golf Course is in Palmetto where the I-275 South meets I-75 at the interchange where you can hop on the Sunshine Skyway heading north. The golf course is just on the East side of I-75 in a particularly undeveloped area that appears to have been the perfect safe haven for this one massive alligator over the years. Here’s where this course is at on the map:

The latest 6-second clip of this guy putting with the gator behind him has gone viral and even hit ESPN’s social channels over the weekend:

That same video can be seen here on Instagram if TikTok isn’t loading for you.

And now that you have gotten a good look at that alligator from the recent clip, here is the 9+ year old video. How much weight do you think this alligator has put on over the last decade?

I’m not 100% certain that is the same gator but I’m pretty, pretty sure it is. For starters, it is the same golf course and an alligator this big probably got to that size by having an abundant food source around in the form of multiple lakes on the golf course and it has claimed that area and probably doesn’t move around too much.

Also, there really just are not that many gators this size here in Florida with the non-stop commercial and residential development. So all of that leads me to believe this is likely the same alligator. But what do you think? Same or no? Let me know in the Facebook comments!
