Frank Iero Surprises Fans During LA Playback For 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge (Deluxe Edition)'

My Chemical Romance‘s Frank Iero surprised fans with an appearance at the LA playback for ‘Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge (Deluxe Edition)’.

With the re-release of the band’s classic 2004 album arriving today (June 07), last night a selection of lucky fans were invited for an early listen.

Having been told that none of the members would be in attendance, Frank’s appearance caught everyone by surprise.

Speaking to the crowd before the album playback, he said:

“Thank you guys so much for coming, I really appreciate it… The record sounds fucking amazing. Ray and Rich Costey did an amazing job, it’s one of my favourite listens I’ve had in quite a while. I hope you all enjoy it, thank you guys so much for taking the time to come tonight. Eat some popcorn, cover your eyes, shut the lights off, and listen to the record. Enjoy, and hopefully we’ll see you on tour in the summer.”

The deluxe edition of ‘Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge’ is out now via Reprise Records, with all songs newly mixed by Rich Costey.

It also comes with four bonus live tracks – ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’, ‘Helena’, ‘The Ghost Of You’ and ‘You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison’ – originally recorded in 2005 for BBC Radio 1’s The Lock Up Show.
