Asmongold has explained why he stopped using his main Twitch account, opting to primarily use his Zackrawrr account instead.
With over 3M followers, Asmongold’s main Twitch account was used to help the streaming star skyrocket in popularity.
However, according to TwitchTracker, Asmon hasn’t used his namesake account since June 2023 and hasn’t consistently streamed on the channel since 2022.
During a stream on Monday, June 2, he revealed why he decided to stop using his massive channel and only broadcast on his Zackrawrr account.
Asmongold stopped using main channel due to stress
“The reason why is that I got so, I would get stressed out a lot because I put a lot of pressure on myself to perform and act a certain way on my main channel,” he said. “And then also it got associated with a lot of sponsor obligations and brand deals.
“Then also, this is something that you guys don’t even really know about, but I remember it was one of the times I came back to streaming, and I had like 20 to 30 people message me in the same day about trying to collab or do something with me. I got so stressed out by it that I just couldn’t deal with it anymore.”
While Asmon hasn’t been streaming on his namesake Twitch account, his decision to begin multistreaming across other platforms in June has led to him using the name on Kick. The former OTK member has also said that the Amazon-owned platform has supported his move to start multistreaming on other platforms.
His multi-streaming endeavors may soon include X as well, as Asmongold has admitted that he’s willing to stream on the microblogging platform for free. Elon Musk quickly responded to his comments, saying: “Okay, let’s give it a shot.”
