Written in various cities across the world over the last three years, the band, which consists of brothers Henry and Pierre Beasely, say that each location has left its mark on ‘Portal’, with“heavier and grungier energy” coming from recordings in New York and “a softer and calmer” vibe for the material made in their New Zealand homeland.
