BABYMETAL and Slaughter to Prevail Unleash Collab Track "Song 3"

BABYMETAL have released a new collaborative track with Slaughter to Prevail titled “Song 3,” the latest single from the Japanese pop-metal band’s upcoming album, METAL FORTH, arriving August 8th.

The song is truly a cross-continental affair, with the music being composed between the UK and Russia by Slaughter to Prevail’s Jack Simmons and Alex Terrible. The duo concocted a brutal and angular metalcore instrumental — bolstered by indecipherable gutturals — that was then sent over to Japan for BABYMETAL to add their vocals. Contributing an additional wrinkle to the mix is Matt Heafy of Trivium, who performed the shamisen that courses through the track.

METAL FORTH is stacked with collabs, with seven of its 10 tracks featuring a notable guest artist or co-writer, including Spiritbox, Tom Morello, Bloodywood, Polyphia, and Poppy. The track with Poppy, “from me to u,” dropped back in April.
