This weekend’s Lilo & Stitch follows a long line of Disney live-action remakes, starting with Tim Burton’s take on Alice in Wonderland (2010). Several Disney princesses have been brought to life by actresses such as Lily James, Emma Watson, Naomi Scott, Halle Bailey and Rachel Zegler.
Still other classic cartoon stories like The Jungle Book (1967), The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977), The Lion King (1994) and Dumbo (1941) have been reimagined as of late.
