On Monday, May 19, Tedeschi Trucks Band continued its run at New York’s Beacon Theatre. The night began with blues legend Buddy Guy’s six-song performance of originals and covers, which preluded the arrival of the husband and wife duo, who unveiled a 15-song main frame that pulled directly from I Am the Moon, Made Up Mind, and Let Me Get By, in addition to eight covers, including odes to Bruce Springsteen on “State Trooper,” Jerry Garcia via “Sugaree” and John Prine through “Angel From Montgomery.”
The band began their venue-specific residency on Saturday, May 17, with a similar format of originals and cover songs. They took a break from the Big Apple stage on Sunday, May 21, and ultimately returned on Monday for the gig. On location was photographer Bill Kelly, who shared his choice shots from the May 19 occasion.
During last night’s gig, the band’s subsequent third night at the venue accounted for cuts off of Revaltor and I Am the Moon, once again, the first 2025 arrival of Price’s “D.M.S.R.” The night was capped by the arrival of “Future Soul,” before covers of James Taylor’s famed “Fire and Rain” and Matthew Moore’s “Space Captain.” TTB will continue their Beacon residency tomorrow night, May 22, Friday, May 23, and Saturday, May 24, the final night.
Tickets remain on sale and can be purchased here.
