Adria Arjona has become one of the fastest-rising actresses in Hollywood in recent years, and as a result, comic book movie fans have begun campaigning for her to be cast as one of the most iconic superheroes of all-time: Wonder Woman.
Since breaking into Hollywood in the mid-2010s with various small roles on TV and in movies such as The Belko Experiment and Pacific Rim Uprising, Adria Arjona has begun to climb up Hollywood’s A-list in recent years thanks to performances in films such as Triple Frontier, 6 Underground, Father of the Bride, Hit Man, and Blink Twice, and the acclaimed Star Wars series Andor.
A viral post on Twitter suggesting that fans start advocating for Arjona to play Wonder Woman has racked up over 14,000 likes and 514,000 views at the time of this writing and includes mock-up concept art of Arjona as the iconic comic book character.

Coincidentally enough, Arjona’s boyfriend, actor Jason Momoa, has been cast in the DCU as Lobo and will make his debut in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which hits theaters next summer.
Recently, she was in attendance at the Cannes Film Festival in France for the premiere of her new movie Splitsville alongside Dakota Johnson. She’s also recently filmed the action horror thriller Onslaught from Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard alongside Dan Stevens, Alex Pereira, Michael Biehn, Drew Starkey, Rebecca Hall, and Eric Wareheim.
Frankly, whether or not Arjona — or any actress, for that matter — is cast as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the DCU hinges entirely on this summer’s Superman being a success and justifying the continued launch of a new shared DC cinematic universe.
Beyond the James Gunn-directed Superman, hitting movie theaters in the United States on Friday, July 11, the only film in the franchise that’s completed filming is the aforementioned Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which features House of the Dragon breakout Milly Alcock in the titular role.
When the DCU was announced a few years ago, Gunn said they were developing Paradise Lost, a prequel series set in Wonder Woman’s homeland Themyscira, although few updates have been provided since.
