MANILA, Philippines – Aktor PH, or the League of Filipino actors, announced a slew of new projects for 2025, and one of them is a long-awaited podcast.
During Aktor’s general assembly on Sunday, May 18, the league’s vice chairman Agot Isidro announced that the podcast would finally be in the works, four years after they first conceptualized it in 2021.
“Ito ay usap-usapan tungkol sa mga aktor, para sa mga aktor, at syempre, para sa mga hindi rin aktor, galing sa mga aktor,” Isidro said.

The Aktor Podcast — or the A Podcast for short — will see Filipino talents cover a diverse range of topics about life in the industry. Podcasts can even cover acting techniques and financial literacy, among other things, as well as light conversations on what actors like to do on their days off.

Aktor PH is currently aiming to record two to three 20-minute podcast episodes a day. Any member of the league can host an episode by getting in touch with the board or management and pitching the topics they want to discuss.
The podcast was one of the special projects Aktor PH introduced during the general assembly, the other one being the aktor.ph website, which will essentially serve as the go-to directory for all the actors in the Philippines.
Aktor PH was established in 2020. From an initial pool of 26 actors, membership has grown to 300 in 2025.
Its board of directors include Dingdong Dantes (chairman), Agot Isidro (vice chairman), Iza Calzado (president), Piolo Pascual (public affairs director), Cherry Pie Picache (welfare director), Mylene Dizon (treasurer), and Jasmine Curtis-Smith (social media).
