Shakira brought her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” to North America this week (get tickets here), kicking off in Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium on Tuesday, May 13th followed by the first of two shows at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium on Thursday, May 15th.
The tour finds Shakira performing a career-spanning selection of hits, from her pair of ’90s breakouts Pies Descalzos and Dónde Están los Ladrones?, to her 2001 English-language favorite Laundry Service, all the way to her most recent effort, 2024’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. She began the “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” with a South American leg back in February with a show in Rio, and despite a few cancelled dates due to a medical emergency and production issues, Shakira continued the tour through April. She even brought out Lili Melgar, the nanny who ratted out her ex-husband Gerard Piqué for cheating, for a performance of “El Jefe” last month.
Her Charlotte concert featured an opening set from her “Hips Don’t Lie” collaborator Wyclef Jean, who also joined Shakira for a performance of the song on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon last week. After a covers-heavy set from Jean, Shakira took the stage, opening her set with the Las Mujeras cut “La fuerte.” She continued with a rendition of “GIRL LIKE ME,” her 2020 single with the Black Eyed Peas, and kept the party rolling with medleys of songs like “Las de la intuición,” “Estoy aquí,” “Empire,” “Inevitable,” “Te felicito,” “TQG,” and more.

She was then joined by Alejandro Sanz for a medley of “Copa vacía,” “La bicicleta,” and “La tortura,” and continued by bringing out Jean for “Hips Don’t Lie.” The rest of the setlist featured a handful of Shakira’s various hits, including “Soltera,” “Última,” “Underneath Your Clothes,” “Wherever, Whenever,” “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” “She Wolf,” and more. She concluded the show with a performance of her Bizarrap collaboration “BZRP Music Sessions #53.” See the full setlist for Shakira’s tour below.
Shakira’s following show at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey featured mostly the same setlist, but with a few surprises; she dusted off “Cómo dónde y cuándo” and “Poem to a Horse,” and had Ozuna join her onstage for “Monotonía.” Her second show at MetLife Stadium is set to take place tonight (May 16th), and is confirmed to feature special guests Pitbull and Rauw Alejandro.
While the music is engaging by itself, Shakira’s “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” also features some spectacular visuals, including “a first-of-its-kind CGI Shakira” during interludes, 160-foot screens, what appears to be a massive wolf set piece, dazzling choreography, specially-designed costumes, and much more. The tour continues through the summer with shows to come in Montreal, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Washington D.C., Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and more.
