Just over two weeks after the death of TikTok viral ‘Okay baby’ Preston Ordone, officials have revealed the toddler’s cause of death.
On April 24, Katelynn Ordone and her husband, Jaelan, were driving down the road with Preston in the back seat when their truck veered off the road and struck a tree.
Preston, also known as the ‘Okay baby’ on his mom’s TikTok page, died in the accident. Katelynn and Jaelan were injured as well, with each one going to a different hospital for treatment.
Now, People has confirmed the cause of death for the viral ‘Okay baby’ after weeks of waiting for the results.
Preston Ordone’s cause of death confirmed after accident
The cause of death for Ordone has been confirmed to be “blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle crash,” according to the publication.
St. Tammany Parish coroner’s office, the location where Preston’s autopsy was performed, also confirmed that the manner of death has been classified as accidental.
After she was sent home from the hospital, Katelynn uploaded a video thanking her followers for the support after Preston’s death.
“It’s very hard for me to gather my thoughts right now, but I really wanted everyone to know I truly appreciate the support during this incredibly difficult time,” she said in the caption on April 29.
“It means so much to us in a time like this. I was discharged yesterday, my husband is still in the hospital so we are staying at an Airbnb close to help. None of us can understand how this happened.”
The family of the Ordones started a GoFundMe to help pay for Katelynn and Jaelan’s medical bills and associated expenses. At the time of writing, it’s raised $60,000 of its $70,000 goal.
