Adin Ross slams Doechii over viral Met Gala umbrella incident

Popular Kick streamer Adin Ross popped off on award-winning music artist Doechii over her viral wardrobe kerfuffle at the 2025 Met Gala, calling the ‘Anxiety’ rapper “untalented.”

The 2025 Met Gala was met with the usual pomp and circumstance as the world’s top performers gathered in New York to show off their designer outfits on the red carpet.

Doechii, in particular, experienced a viral moment when she underwent a wardrobe change inside of an opaque box, demanding her assistants to cover the top of the box with umbrellas so she couldn’t be seen.

The resulting outfit has been the subject of scrutiny online, much more so due to her insistence that it not be revealed before she was ready to walk the carpet.

The incident is still the talk of the town over a week later, and Kick star Adin Ross is the latest famous figure to speak out about it — and he clearly wasn’t impressed with Doechii’s antics.

Adin Ross shreds Doechii’s viral Met Gala moment in heated rant

In a rant that’s going viral on social media, Ross lashed out at the artist, accusing her of ripping off Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’ and being an “industry plant.”

“Don’t get me started on that b*tch,” Ross began. “Don’t get me started on that industry plant. You guys can say whatever you want about me, but one thing about me is, I’m not an industry plant.

“F**k Doechii, the umbrella clip pissed me off,” he continued. “What an entitled, unintelligent, piece of sh*t she is, bro. I’m not joking, bro, stop listening to her music. …She’s just the worst.

“She stole ‘Somebody That I Used to Know.’ She makes no good music. She’s horrible. …F**k Doechii. She has zero talent.”

Ross’s sentiments toward Doechii have proven quite divisive. While her moment at the Met Gala was largely the subject of mockery and ridicule from viewers, Ross’s vehement dislike of the artist is sparking mixed reactions.

“Why is he so stressed over Doechii?” one questioned in the comments.

“It’s always the most irrelevant dudes screaming the hardest when a woman shines without needing their approval,” another argued.

“Unintelligent recognizes unintelligent,” another said, poking fun at both Ross and Doechii.

Doechii, for her part, has laughed off the controversy, joking about the ordeal in a TikTok video.

“All jokes aside this was such an overstimulating night but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! This was the night we all dreamed of and my team killed it (umbrellas aside),” she wrote in the clip’s caption.

This is just the latest viral moment to come from Adin Ross after he flexed his monthly earnings from streaming on Kick in April, revealing he made $500K for 16 streams — and could have made $1M if he’d streamed consistently.
