The first glimpse at the live-action Spider-Noir series starring Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage has been released. Cage previously voiced the Spider-Noir character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Spider-Noir, releasing on Prime Video next year, is set in 1930s New York City and follows Nicolas Cage as an “aging and down on his luck private investigator who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero,” according to Amazon.

The series boasts Emmy-winning director Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve) is in the director’s chair for the first two episode, while Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (Marvel’s The Punisher) will serve as co-showrunners.

In addition to Cage, Spider-Noir is also set to star Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Jack Huston, with guest stars including Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson and Kai Caster.

Sony Pictures also released a high-quality still of the Spider-Noir character in full costume looking exactly like he does in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
