San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall will be the home base for a three-night celebration in honor of the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary, beginning on Jerry Garcia’s birthday, August 1, and lasting till August 3. The forthcoming artist lineup includes past collaborators, admirers, and cover band members who have dedicated their careers to paying homage to the Bay Area’s jam favorites.

Nights one and two, August 1-2, are billed to feature Melvin Seals & JGB with John Kadlecik, John-Paul McLean, Jeremy Hoenig, and special guest violinist and a member of Bob Weir’s Wolf Pack string section, Mads Tolling. According to the original post via Facebook, the band promises no song repeats between nights. See below.

Personifying the spirit of the Grateful Dead Axial Tilt, with Joan Osborne (The Dead), Nate LaPointe (Cubensis, Bobby Womack), Mitch Stein (Mars Hotel, GATORATORS), Stephen Ramirez (Zen Tricksters, CRYPTICAL), and Kadlecik will continue the task on night three, August 3.

Notably, the latter dates will fall during Days Between, the annual period between Garcia’s August 1 birth date and August 9 passing. Traditionally, the stretch of dates bolsters tributes and performances in honor of the late melodic guitarist.
