The Academy of Country Music has announced the nominees for the 60th ACM Awards.
Reba McEntire is set to host the May 8th ceremony, which will air live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX. This marks McEntire’s eighteenth time hosting the ceremony—she is a 16-time nominee herself.
Artists up for awards this year include Jelly Roll, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wallen. Wallen’s nods leave him tied with Cody Johnson for the most nominations for a male artist with seven—among them is his third consecutive nomination for Entertainer Of The Year. Johnson is nominated multiple times, including for his collaboration with Carrie Underwood, “I’m Gonna Love You.”
Kacey Musgraves is among those up for Female Artist Of The Year—she’s also nominated for Song Of The Year for her Deeper Well single “The Architect.” Over the course of her career, she’s earned 30 ACM nominees. She won Female Artist of the Year in 2018, the same year she won Album of the Year for Golden Hour.
Stapleton and Jelly Roll are also in the running for Entertainer Of The Year this year, as well as Male Artist Of The Year. It’s Stapleton’s tenth consecutive nomination for the latter award, which he’s won four times over the course of his career. He’s also in the running for Single Of The Year, Music Event Of The Year, and Visual Media Of The Year—Stapleton is up for Album Of The Year alongside Post Malone, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and more.
This year marks the sixtieth anniversary of the ACM Awards. To celebrate the milestone, the Academy has lined up a series of performances from the likes of Blake Shelton, Eric Church, and Lainey Wilson. More names remain TBA.
