Big Lots is making big strides in its strategic reopening tour. As of May 1, 54 new locations have officially opened for business on top of the nine stores the retailer launched in April. The good news comes after Variety Wholesalers, Inc. acquired 219 Big Lots locations in late 2024. Since then, Variety and Big Lots have been working tirelessly to get these stores remodeled and reopened. With phase two now underway, Big Lots has released another list of store addresses that will open by June 1. Here’s everything you need to know.

All new Big Lots stores will offer a “treasure hunt” shopping experience.
Big Lots’ entire fleet of remodeled locations will open by June 1. Stores that are part of Wave 2 will open on May 1, while Wave 3 locations will open on May 15.
According to the press release, all 219 stores will provide customers a “treasure hunt” shopping experience packed with “great deals and unique finds,” as well as a new “closeout deals” zone, where prices will presumably be significantly discounted. Big Lots is also adding new shopping categories to its blueprint, such as electronics and clothing for the family.
“The customer response to the newly expanded assortment of fresh inventory and great deals has been overwhelmingly positive. The Big Lots! stores opening in May show our continued commitment to providing the best value to our customers with apparel for the family, everyday needs for the home, kitchen, and pantry plus a huge selection of famous brands,” Lisa Seigies, president and CEO of Variety Wholesalers, said in an updated release.

34 new Big Lots locations are coming to the Midwest.
In the Midwest, more than 30 locations will open in parts of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana between now and June 1. According to Fast Company, these will be located at the following locations:
