UK synth-punk outfit Powerplant has unleashed their latest single ‘Crashing Cars,’ a chaotic and catchy track out now via Arcane Dynamics.
From the first moments of ‘Crashing Cars,’ Powerplant’s sonic cocktail is on full display: goblinesque vocal melodies, warbling synths, driving basslines, and propulsive drum machine rhythms. The track captures the band’s uncanny ability to sound both melancholic and uplifting, fusing punk urgency with electronic experimentation.
‘Crashing Cars’ arrives as the lead track from a new 7-inch backed by ‘Never Smile,’ and follows a whirlwind two and a half years of touring.
Powerplant’s latest single not only reinforces their identity, but also pushes their synth-punk vision into new, thrilling territory. ‘Crashing Cars’ is out now.
