London singer-songwriter Nilüfer Yanya has released a new song called “Cold Heart,” marking her first release since her 2024 album, My Method Actor. Listen to the track below.
Yanya’s ethereal vocals float over a healthy dose of synths, as she sings about a romance that hasn’t quite worked out the way that either party wanted. “Guess you had a cold heart girl,” she sings. “Guess you might understand/ And I don’t wanna bear this burden/ Cuz it hurts like hell.”

In a press statement, Yanya revealed that “Cold Heart” is part of a number of tracks she reworked with creative partner Wilma Archer after returning home from her last tour. “This one turned out pretty different to how I imagined it,” she shared. “The initial melody felt very spacious, like there’s room for anything to happen. It felt like a kind of experiment.”

Yanya is heading out on tour across Europe and the UK this spring and summer, mostly hitting festival slots across the continent, including Primavera a la Ciutat, Glastonbury, Best Kept Secret, and Way Out West (get tickets here).
