MrBeast leans into his ruthless game show host persona with Love, Death + Robots role

MrBeast hosts an episode of Beast Games on Amazon Prime.

YouTube star MrBeast has scored a voiceover role in Netflix’s forthcoming fourth season of sci-fi short story anthology Love, Death + Robots — and his character is exactly what you’d expect.

Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson is arguably one of the most famous figures on the internet, boasting YouTube’s most-subscribed channel and a chocolate bar company that you can’t avoid seeing in American grocery stores.

As part of his ever-growing empire, Donaldson has now scored a prominent voiceover role in Netflix’s beloved animated short story series, Love, Death + Robots, set to release on May 15, 2025.

This season will feature 10 episodes, each focusing on new characters, settings and events… and one of these scenarios leans directly into MrBeast’s specialty as a host of over-the-top competitions.

MrBeast made the jump from YouTube to Amazon Prime with his record-breaking game show, Beast Games, in early 2025.

The YouTuber rose to fame for his generous cash giveaways and arguably insane challenges, such as seeing how long his friends could stay inside an ever-shrinking circle without leaving. (The winner, of course, usually receives thousands, if not millions, of dollars.)

He’s translated that talent into becoming a full-on game-show host, scoring his own series on Amazon Prime, ‘Beast Games,’ which took his YouTube content to another level, breaking over 40 Guinness World Records.

MrBeast plays host of deadly game show in Love, Death + Robots

His hosting chops have become so prominent that he’s even taking them to the silver screen, playing the host of a deadly game show where contestants’ lives are on the line in Love, Death + Robots Season 4.

The episode, titled ‘The Screaming of the Tyrannosaur,’ is based on a short story by renowned fiction author Stant Litore. It follows a group of gladiators duking it out to the death — all while riding atop “deadly, engineered dinosaurs” for aristocrats’ viewing pleasure.

MrBeast’s role almost humorously leans into his status as a host of some of the net’s wildest and brutal competitions… but this isn’t his first time entering the booth to lend his voice to an animated character.

In fact, the YouTuber famously scored cameos in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Kung Fu Panda 4, both of which sparked a wide variety of reactions across social media.

This is just the latest big project for MrBeast, who recently made it known that he’s tackling child slavery in Africa’s chocolate farms by providing free meals in schools and building surgical centers to treat former child slaves.
