Pedro Pascal is calling out J.K. Rowling’s support of an anti-transgender ruling in the United Kingdom.
The 50-year-old The Last of Us star, whose sister Lux came out as trans in 2021, posted a criticism of the 59-year-old Harry Potter author, who openly celebrated the U.K.’s Supreme Court ruling that trans women should not be recognized as women under the Equality Act.
In an Instagram video posted by activist Tariq Ra’ouf, he explained how the author financially backed the campaign group For Women Scotland, which brought the legal challenges to court, and called for a boycott of Harry Potter.

Pedro wrote under the video: “Awful disgusting S–T is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.”
Pedro also supported trans rights by attending the Thunderbolts premiere in London wearing a white T-shirt with the message “PROTECT THE DOLLS,” an affectionate term referring to trans women.
