General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that a clone storyline could be in the works. Is some evil twin chaos brewing on the ABC soap?
Daniel Goddard (Professor Henry Dalton on GH, ex-Cane Ashby on The Young and the Restless) has been engaging with his social media followers and offering up some interesting info about his new character.
Goddard recently posted some info that raises suspicions about Professor Dalton’s secrets and where his story is ultimately headed.
After Goddard shared a pic of himself in character as Professor Dalton, he also included a short interview clip of Sir John Gurdon along with an explanation.
“In case you didn’t know… This is Professor Henry Dalton‘s mentor and idol! Nobel Prize winner John Gurdon! Who is your mentor or idol? Who do you turn to when you need advice?” Goddard shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
On the surface, that just seems like a fun way to interact with fans and get them talking, but we have to go a little deeper here.
Why does Professor Henry Dalton consider John Gurdon his hero?
The show obviously made a very specific choice when it came to Professor Dalton’s mentor and the person he looks up to the most.
John Gurdon is a British developmental biologist who’s famous for his groundbreaking research in cloning and nuclear transplantation.
Some have even gone as far as calling Gurdon the godfather of cloning, so Professor Dalton’s idol might be an intriguing clue.
Could GH writers be planting the seeds for some sort of cloning storyline? Could this tie in with all the memory-mapping mayhem of the past?
Viewers have already been suspicious when it comes to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and his bizarre behavior.
There’s been speculation that Drew is an imposter, so there’s the potential for some cloning chaos here.
We could also imagine the show bringing Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) back and perhaps claiming that the man who suffered a grim fate in Greenland was actually a Victor clone.
Of course, this could also open the door to other deceased characters returning if it comes out that their clones actually bit the dust.
Bottom line, this cloning clue is worth mulling over, especially since it could lead to some imposter drama and maybe even some real comebacks.
General Hospital spoilers say Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) could uncover some startling news and make some wild predictions, so stay tuned for updates on her WSB mission.
