KFC releases fried chicken-flavored toothpaste and it’s already sold out

KFC has released its own finger lickin’ good toothpaste that tastes just like its iconic fried chicken.

Back on April 1, KFC picked the worst day to announce its collaboration with Australian dental care brand Hismile.

Amid all the fake product announcements from numerous brands, KFC’s was actually real. “Not a prank. It’s here. And it’s Finger Lickin’ Good,” the chain revealed on social media.

Hismile’s website says the Kentucky Fried Chicken toothpaste was designed to deliver “the irresistible feeling of biting into a piece of hot, juicy Original Recipe chicken” and even offer “long-lasting health benefits.”

“Bring the unmistakable taste of crispy, golden perfection straight to your toothbrush for a full-on flavor takeover,” it states.

In addition to the $13 toothpaste, Hismile also released a $59 KFC-branded electric toothbrush with a built-in timer and multiple cleaning modes.

KFC toothpaste sells out in just 48 hours

Unfortunately for fans, the toothpaste was so popular that it couldn’t stay in stock for very long at all. Just 48 hours after going on sale, the chicken-flavored toothpaste was sold out.

Hismile marketing manager Koban Jones praised the collab for “pushing boundaries” and called it one of the “most successful limited-run collaborations to date.”

“This collab is bold, unexpected, and seriously fun,” he beamed to Fox News. “KFC-flavored toothpaste is surprising and talkable, which drove social conversation and a quick, 48-hour sellout.”

KFC has made waves with its surprising collaborations before. In 2024, the chain joined forces with fast food rival Burger King to unveil the ‘BFF Burger,’ which combined the best of both companies. Sadly, the team-up was only available in France, but it got the internet talking.

There’s no word on if KFC and Hismile will be bringing back the toothpaste for a second round, and given how successful the initial release was, it might be a smart business decision.
