MrBeast hits back at hate against his charity videos as he reveals surprising statistics

YouTube superstar Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has revealed a surprising statistic about some of his worst-performing videos of 2025, saying people would ‘hate him less’ if he didn’t make them.

Over the years, MrBeast has become known for extravagant YouTube videos. In the early day, he’d put his friends and different fans up to different challenges in the hopes of winning some big bundles of cash. These days, he’s leveled up, working with celebrities and other top-level content creators too.

Not all of his videos follow this formula, though. In recent times, Donaldson has put a big focus on helping others who are less fortunate. Through his Beast Philanthropy channel, he has helped open hospitals in Africa, given away shoes, built homes, and even funded surgeries to help blindness.

He has, at times, been met with backlash for these charitable efforts, however, with many critics suggesting he shouldn’t be using them for videos.

MrBeast reveals views for worst performing videos & they’re both charity

Well, now the YouTube star has hit back at critics, revealing that his charitable videos are actually his worst-performing uploads of the last year.

“My 2 worst performing videos this year are the ones where I help people. Just thought I’d share this because some people think I just do it for views but I would get way more views if I didn’t help thousands of people walk and give away a million meals. People would also hate me less lol,” he said on X (formerly Twitter).

“Doesn’t matter though, I’m gonna keep doing it because I’m the most subscribed YouTube channel in the world and I believe using my platform to inspire people to do good is important (and I also like making these videos).”

Some critics still took issue with that. “You don’t have to make videos of helping people. You can just help them,” one said. “The #1 guy on YouTube saying he doesn’t do YouTube for the views lol,” another added.

The two videos in question – Watch This Video To Feed 1 Person In Need and I Helped 2,000 People Walk Again – have both still achieved 21 million views on their first day. That’s not shabby at all.
