Saturday Night Live fired some shots at country music singer Morgan Wallen following his abrupt and icy exit from the SNL stage a week earlier. Wallen, the musical guest on Saturday, March 29, had created headlines by abruptly leaving the stage during the show’s traditional closing segment, where the host, musical guest, cast, and crew typically mingle.
Morgan Wallen, who performed on the March 29 episode featuring host Mikey Madison, quickly exited the stage and did not acknowledge any of the SNL cast while the credits were still rolling, broadcasting his tantrum to the world.
Shortly after, he posted an Instagram photo aboard a private jet captioned, “Get me to God’s country,” which later became a meme. Capitalizing on the attention, Wallen has now started selling merchandise branded with the phrase.
Having trended on social media all week, it was a given that Saturday Night Live would respond and that’s exactly what they did with a pair of jokes at Wallen’s expense during the Jack Black-hosted episode on Saturday, April 5.

The show even appeared to sneak in a shot at his band’s bassist in the background of a sketch:
Additional reports indicate that during his SNL stint, Wallen declined to participate in a pre-recorded sketch, and was thus replaced by Jonas Brothers band member Joe Jonas. Wall did get to perform two songs on the show without any complaint, though: “I’m the Problem” and “Just in Case.”
