Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs (aka Pigs x7) have announced a 2025 North American tour in support of the UK band’s forthcoming album Death Hilarious, out April 4th.
The tour will be split into two separate legs. The first runs through June, kicking off on the 18th at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City and concluding on the 29th in Boston. The second leg is in August, launching on the 14th in Santa Ana, California, and wrapping up on the 27th in Austin.
A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates begins Thursday (March 20th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code FUNKY. General ticket sales start Friday (March 21st) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Along with the tour announcement, Pigs x7 also offered up a new single from their Death Hilarious. The track “Glib Tongued” features rapper El-P from Run the Jewels.
The song fits the Pigs’ mold of doomed-out stoner rock, as trudging guitars soundtrack frontman Matt Baty’s dark observations on modern life. El-P’s feature comes in just before the halfway point, and he piggybacks on Baty’s themes with a torrent of lyricism.
“My lyrics reflect on how fondness of the past and senses of nostalgia can affect and influence the present, and especially in a political sense, not for the better,” stated Baty in a press release. “This notion of working towards ‘getting things back to how they used to be,’ feels very backwards. The ‘good old days’ never existed. Having El-P collaborate with us on this track was absolutely mind blowing. Word class lyricist. No smoke and mirrors, sees and tells it exactly the way it is.”
