Adam Scott, who starred alongside Amy Poehler on the hit sitcom Parks and Rec, recently appeared on the SmartLess podcast that’s co-hosted by Will Arnett, who is Poehler’s ex-husband. This led to Arnett asking Scott a hilarious question about whether or not the pair ever had an affair on set.
During the middle part of the podcast, the trio of Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett were sarcastically recapping the heavy questions that Hayes had asked Adam Scott so far, such as “Are you emotionally scarred from your parents’ divorce?”
Arnett then chimed in with a jokingly invasive follow-up question, “What is it about your wife that drives you crazy?” (Scott has been married to his wife Naomi, a producer, since 2005.
Batemen then got in on the fun, asking Scott which of his two children he likes the best. That’s when Arnett came down with the hammer, hilariously asking if Scott has “ever had an emotional affair with a co-worker.”
Scott, of course, starred alongside Arnett’s ex-wife Amy Poehler (who actually just launched her own podcast Good Hang this week) on the beloved NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation as Ben Wyatt, Poehler’s character’s love interest and eventual husband.

Arnett was married to Poehler from 2003 to 2016, which means they were together for the entirety of Parks and Rec‘s run from 2009 to 2015, indicating the pair have known each other and have likely been friends for years.
Scott was appearing on SmartLess to promote his critically-acclaimed AppleTV+ series Severance, which will be concluding its second season later this week with its S2 finale “Cold Harbor.” Despite the massive success of the series thus far, its biggest-ever series, surpassing Ted Lasso, Severance has not been officially renewed for a third season.
Earlier this year, Scott also had a role in the Oz Perkins-diirected horror-comedy The Monkey and will be making an appearance as himself in the upcoming Seth Rogen comedy The Studio on AppleTV+.
