Rolling Loud California 2025 kicked off with a memorable stunt. A$AP Rocky opened his set from a helicopter flying over the stage.
Rolling Loud California took over Hollywood Park Grounds in Inglewood over the weekend. The festival’s first day pulled no punches with a stacked lineup including YG, Sexyy Red, Peso Pluma, and Bossman Dlow. But A$AP Rocky is making headlines with his incredible entrance — flying high over the stage, hanging from a helicopter.
A$AP Rocky hovered over the crowd on board his Don’t Be Dumb branded helicopter, where he performed an unreleased track, rumored to be called “All Black (Stole Ya Flow).” He then made his way onto the stage, carefully lowered by a reinforced cord.
Once he had landed safely, Rocky performed hits like “A$AP Forever,” “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),” and “Tailor Swif.” Skepta joined him on stage for a duet of “Praise the Lord (Da Shine).”
HIs performance made a couple obvious references to Travis Scott, who arrived at his 2024 Rolling Loud set in a similar style. The unreleased track he debuted made a callback to Rocky’s 2023 Rolling Loud set, with the lyrics: “First you stole my flow / So I stole your b*tch.” Fans also believe this to be a dig at Scott.
Rolling Loud California 2025 was Rocky’s first performance after his acquittal on a felony assault charge. He was found not guilty of assaulting former friend and fellow rapper A$AP Relli.
Rocky was charged with two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm following a confrontation with Relli back in November 2021. If found guilty, reported initially claimed he would face up to 24 years behind bars. But the trial proceedings revealed prosecutors were only pursuing eight years after the rapper supposedly rejected a plea deal.
After his acquittal, Rocky made a statement in front of the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in Los Angeles. “I really want to thank the jury for making the right decision. I’m just so thankful. This whole experience has been crazy for the past four years. But I am thankful nonetheless.”
Despite his felony assault case concluding, Rocky still faces a civil defamation suit filed against him by Relli. That case is seemingly still awaiting a trial date.
