This past November, declassified CIA documents from 1984 described someone seeing a dying “elder race” on Mars. The report was part of what the U.S. Army, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and a California contractor had code-named the Stargate Project.
The Stargate Project was implemented to test the potential for using psychic phenomena such as remote viewing – the ability of some people to see a distant or unseen subject using just their minds. The $20 million research program was reportedly a response to the Soviet Union supposedly conducting research using “psychotronics,” or electromagnetic torture, but was terminated in 1995.
Earlier this month, retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Joe McMoneagle claimed he was the psychic spy in that declassified CIA report that saw proof of life on the planet Mars. McMoneagle claims to have been the CIA’s “Remote Viewer No. 1.”
Now, physicist and parapsychologist Russell Targ is discussing his work involving psychic spies at the Stanford Research Institute and the CIA’s Stargate Project.
In a new interview with Ross Coulthart of NewsNation’s Reality Check, Targ says during his time working on the project they successfully used remote viewing to locate a Russian bomber and to describe a Soviet facility.
Russell Targ also discussed the mysterious death of Pat Price, a psychic spy who died shortly after he began working for the CIA. Targ revealed that he is of the opinion that Price “was murdered.”
As for who he thinks murdered Pat Price, Targ told Coulthart, “Well, it’s a somewhat complicated story. Price was an enthusiastic Scientologist, and what we learned by and by is that he was doing operational remote viewing for Ken Kress, where each day, Kress would have him look into the embassy of some foreign national.”
“Just to explain, Ken Kress is, I think he was the technical operations director for the CIA,” Coulthart interjected.
“That’s right. Kit Green was a psychologist and physician. Ken Kress sort of gave us support, because one physicist to another, he was a physicist, and someplace early in the program, they said these physicists could talk to each other, so they thought that Ken Kress would be a good guy to work with us.
“Sid Gottlieb was the one who ran the stealthy CIA program, where they were poisoning people and so forth. MKUltra. He was a supporter of our program. He’s a very, it’s like any murderer can be somebody’s nice uncle. So, Sid Gottlieb was quite an amiable psychologist. Friendly guy. Could come into my office, we could chat about psychology or whatever you want. So, as a person to deal with, he was quite amiable, and he was a friend of the program.”
Russell Targ would go on to speculate, “If you ask me who would have considered murdering him, of people that are not inside, the top of the list would be the Russians. Because we knew that, we’ve seen Russian documents … and they knew about Pat Price … so it would not be shocking to know that some Russian saboteur came along and killed Pat Price.”
