MrBeast hits back at “lie” about him receiving money from the US Government

YouTube superstar Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donalson has hit back at claims that he received “a lot of money” from the Pentagon in the past.

Over the last few years, MrBeast has risen up to become the biggest YouTuber around. A lot of his early success was simple: he’d put his friends through different challenges with tonnes of money up for grabs. That has continued too, but he’s managed to draft in other content creators and even celebrities.

With Donaldson’s empire growing, he’s had the chance to work with some pretty big brands to make the videos happen.

However, there have also been claims that he received “a lot of money” from the US Government and The Pentagon in order to advertise the military to his audience.

MrBeast hits back at Pentagon funding claims

The claims refer to data from the Penatgon’s end-of-2024 reports that Rolling Stone highlighted. In their article, Rolling Stones noted how the governmental branch distributed funds to different influencers and celebrities.

Donaldson’s name has been the main one used by critics in posts across social media, but he’s bitten back at those claims.

“We asked if the military could help us transport resources for hurricane victims and that has somehow turned into I received lots of money from them which we did not. Everyday I wake up to a new lie about me. Sigh,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Rolling Stone’s article notes that Production Assistance Agreements were completed by The Pentagon to work with MrBeast. However, it was never followed through on.

“We did complete a PAA for the Social Influencer Mr. Beast, but ultimately did not support the production as he did not go to Puerto Rico for the Hurricane relief, so that PAA is cancelled,” an email obtained by Rolling Stone revealed.

The YouTube star is trying to raise “hundreds of millions” following the success of his Beast Games series. Different financial firms and wealthy individuals are reportedly interested.
