All of the Noise 2025: Exhibit, performances, talks, docus you can expect

Live music isn’t the only thing All of the Noise 2025 has in store for its attendees

MANILA, Philippines – It’s the 10th anniversary of music curation and events production outfit The Rest is Noise, and they’re marking it with the 2025 edition of All of the Noise.

Set to happen on April 4 and 5 at The Astbury in Makati City, the music and culture event will look to spotlight the music communities in both the Philippines and the rest of Asia. It will essentially serve as a space for music fans, music industry professionals, and musicians themselves to interact and explore more about the worlds of music.

The event will take on a multi-disciplinary format, meaning that live performances aren’t the only thing attendees will get to enjoy! From documentary screenings to a live music showcase, here’s what you can expect to see at All of the Noise 2025:

Music photography exhibit

All of the Noise 2025 will feature the work of renowned music photographer Karen De La Fuente in a special exhibit titled “Welcome to the Static.” De La Fuente has photographed many Filipino music acts throughout her career, including Sandwich, Autotelic, SB19, Zild, Maki, Over October, and Ben&Ben, which she served as the group’s creative director.

She has also documented the shows of Grammy Award winner St. Vincent, French rock band Phoenix, and American indie band Japanese Breakfast, to name a few.

The exhibit will be on view for both days of the event.

Music documentary screenings

On Day 1, there will be a screening of the 2019 documentary Budots: The Craze. It explores the rise of the Davao City dance craze, whose music was pioneered by Sherwin Tuna, better known as DJ Love.

After the screening, there will be a talkback session with one of its directors, Jay Rosas.

Meanwhile, on Day 2, attendees can catch the screening of Jingle Lang ang Pahina. Through several points of view, the 2012 documentary captures the legacy of the independent Jingle Chordbook Magazine.

Similar to Day 1, there will also be a talkback session with documentary director Chuck Escasa.

Music culture discussions

All of the Noise will also have a music conference program — “Cut Through The Noise” — which will feature two panel discussions and keynote presentations led by different resource speakers and moderators on each event day.

On Day 1, voices from the regions will be given the mic at the “Bisdak! VisMin Music Community and Decentralizing OPM Narratives & Opportunities” talk. This will be followed by “Music Showcase & Creative Industry Development: A Career-Building Guide.”

Day 2’s talks will start with “Empowering Queer Visibility and Imagery in Pinoy Music” and will end with “Brash Maximalism: ‘Budots’ and the Global Future of Pinoy Electronic Music.”

According to the event organizers, the conference program is meant to explore topics that matter to the local and regional music scenes.

Live music showcase

Each day will end with a live music showcase by artists from the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Indonesia.

On Day 1, the show will be headlined by Singaporean hip-hop artist San the Wordsmith. Completing the roster are the Philippines’ Pedicab, SOS, Cheeky Things, Mandaue Nights of Cebu, ena mori, and Pixie Labrador.

Day 2, meanwhile, will be headlined by Taiwanese band The Chairs, Indonesian electronic soloist Logic Lost, and Thai band KIKI. Joining them are Filipino music acts such as Waiian, Cebu’s IIICCCYYY, obese.dogma777, Fashion Island, Pette Shabu, SVATG, and Double Shy Music — a collaborative project between UDD’s Paul Yap and Musical O’s Mario Consunji.
