While Jon Stewart has “accepted” Elon Musk’s terms to appear on The Daily Show — i.e. airing the interview “unedited” — the famed comedian is clearly doubtful Musk will follow through, and has labeled Musk’s reason for not doing the interview as “bulls—.”

Last week, Elon Musk — who has called Jon Stewart as “propagandist” — agreed to appear on Comedy Central’s long-running satirical news program The Daily Show for an interview if it aired “unedited.”

On the Monday, March 3 episode of the show, host Jon Stewart agreed to Musk’s terms, saying he’d do an interview for however long Musk wanted and would air the footage unedited.

During his rant, however, The Daily Show host expressed doubt that Musk would follow through because he believes his claims of Stewart being too partisan are false platitudes, a.k.a, “bulls—.”

“Look Elon, I do have some criticisms about DOGE. I support, in general, the idea of efficiency and delivering better services to the American public in cheaper and more efficient ways. And if you want to come in and talk about it on the show, great. If you don’t want to, sure,” Stewart said.

“But can we just drop the pretense that you won’t do it because I don’t measure up to the standards of neutral discourse that you demand and display at all times? Because quite frankly, that’s bulls–. You know it, and I know it — it’s bulls—,” he concluded.

Despite Musk’s hundreds of daily tweets, he has yet to respond to Stewart calling him out on The Daily Show. He did, however, have a prime seat at the Presidential State of the Union on Tuesday night despite being an unelected billionaire official who recently called America’s long-running Social Security program a “Ponzi scheme” while on Joe Rogan’s podcast.
