Acid Bath’s highly anticipated reunion keeps on expanding. In addition to the Louisiana sludge-metal act’s festival dates, the band has announced a number of headlining US shows for 2025.
As previously reported, Acid Bath will be playing their first gigs in 28 years, including four Danny Wimmer Presents festivals: Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio (tickets); Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida (tickets); Inkcarceration in Mansfield, Ohio (tickets); and Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky (tickets).
The band has also recently unveiled headlining shows in New Orleans (April 25th & 30th) and Los Angeles (August 22nd & 28th), as well as a just-announced gig in Brooklyn, New York (July 11th). An artist presale for the Brooklyn show is under way using the code NEWDEATH25 via Ticketmaster, while tickets for the other shows are available here.
Joining Acid Bath at the headlining concerts will be some notable support acts: Eyehategod (April 25th) and Exhorder (April 30th) in New Orleans; Eyehategod and Wailin Storms in Brooklyn; and High on Fire and Windhand (August 22) and Pig Destroyer and The Obsessed (August 28th) in Los Angeles.
Following their formation in 1991, Acid Bath broke up in 1997 after bassist Audie Pitre and his parents were tragically killed by a drunk driver. During that initial run, the band released two highly influential albums: When the Kite String Pops (1994) and Paegan Terrorism Tactics (1996).
For the 2025 shows, lead singer Dax Riggs, guitarist-vocalist Sammy “Pierre” Duet (now of Goatwhore), and guitarist-vocalist Mike Sanchez from the classic lineup will be joined by drummer Zack Simmons and bassist Alex Bergeron.
