MICHELLE Trachtenberg’s close friend has revealed that she spoke to her from hospital before her passing.
British photographer and media personality Amanda DeCadanet has said that Michelle “Facetimed” her recently from her hospital bed and “knew that death was a possibility”.
The Gossip Girl star was said to have undergone a liver transplant in the months before she was found dead in her New York City apartment on Wednesday.
Michelle, 39, was found unresponsive by her mom in her apartment on Wednesday morning, cops have said.
Reports claim that she underwent a liver transplant last year and was believed to have been experiencing complications from it.
Her body may have even rejected the new liver, TMZ reported citing law enforcement sources.
And now Michelle’s close friend Amanda, who is based in Los Angeles, has revealed how the Gossip Girl actress spoke to her expressed how she knew death was a possibility.
Sharing a moving tribute to Michelle, Amanda took to Instagram to post a throwback photo of the late star.
She penned: “Sweetheart Michelle. What sad news this morning to wake up to.
“It feels weird and awful to be posting this, but I want to acknowledge your death because I cared about you.”
Amanda continued: “I will always remember you as the young vivacious woman I met when I took this photo of you …
“Seeing your face from the hospital bed when we FaceTimed recently, even though you did not look like you, your sweetness and humor were still alive.”

“I will not share the details of our conversations over the last 6 months.
“But you knew that death was a high possibility,” she originally wrote, but later deleted the last couple of sentences and edited the original caption.
Amanda concluded: “I am only sorry that the outcome was not a better one.
“Wishing you a peaceful transition sweet friend and may your spirit finally rest.”
Fans of Amanda and Michelle were quick to comment on the tribute, with one person writing: “I’m sorry for your loss and i admire you for keeping her private life private.”
Tributes to Michelle Trachtenberg
Friends and former co-stars of Trachtenberg’s were quick to post tributes on social media honoring the actress.
David Boreanaz, who starred alongside Trachtenberg in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, posted a photo of the actress on his Instagram story, commenting, “So very sad…horrible news. RIP and prayers to her and her family.”
Trachtenberg’s Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick posted a photo on his Instagram story of the actress when she played Georgina Sparks. He wrote, “So sad to hear of the passing of Michelle Trachtenberg. Sending prayers.”
Kim Cattrall, who starred alongside Trachtenberg in 2005 film Ice Princess, wrote, “Rest in peace sweet Michelle.”
Rosie O’Donnell, who acted with Trachtenberg in Harriet the Spy, also said the news was “heartbreaking.”
“I loved her very much. She struggled the last few years. I wish I could have helped,” she said, according to People.
James Marsters, another co-star on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, posted on Instagram to honor the late actress. “My heart is heavy today,” he wrote.
“We have lost a beautiful soul. Michelle was fiercely intelligent, howlingly funny, and a very talented person. She died much too young, and leaves behind scores of people who knew and loved her.”
Fellow Nickelodeon star Kenan Thompson posted a farewell message to the actress and reminded others to check in on their friends.
“Our first Nick movie star has departed us!! She was my friend and now she rests!! Check on your people!!!” he wrote.
Melissa Joan Hart, Trachtenberg’s Clarissa Explains it All co-star, said she was “heartbroken” over her death alongside a clip of the show.
“I’m heartbroken to hear of the passing of @michelletrachtenberg,” she said. “So young, so talented and so sweet!”
“I think this was about 1992 and the episode was an idea I had about babysitting a total nightmare. But Michelle was nothing like her character and even this young, we got along wonderfully.”
Another added: “Sorry for your loss. It is so nice to know that you were there for her during the last months of her life.”
While a third wrote: “Thank you for posting this. I’m glad she had good people around her who cared & were there for her. Prayers for you & all her loved ones.”
And a fourth penned: “Beautiful tribute. I’m very sorry that you lost your friend. May she rest in peace.”
While a fifth added: “The original caption was unusual, the edit was wise.”
GOSSIP GIRL TRIBUTES
Blake Lively is one of Michelle’s former Gossip Girl co-stars to have paid tribute.
The It Ends With Us actress shared a snap of herself with Michelle from the their Gossip Girl days and described the late star as having an “electric” personality.
She then penned: “Everything she did, she did 200%. She laughed the fullest at someone’s joke, she faced authority head on when she felt something was wrong, she cared deeply about her work, she was proud to be a part of this community and industry as painful as it could be sometimes, she was fiercely loyal to her friends and brave for those she loved, she was big and bold and distinctly herself.
“Time passes. You take for granted that you get the chance to see an old friend. To paraphrase, the real tragedies in life are the ones that blindside you on an idle Tuesday. Hold those you love and have loved dear.”
She added: “The world lost a deeply sensitive and good person in Michelle. May her work and her huge heart be remembered by those who were lucky enough to experience her fire.”
Chace Crawford is another Gossip Girl co-star who has paid tribute to Michelle, with him writing: “Michelle was one of a kind.
“I remember her coming on set for the first time and just absolutely owning it. She was a force of nature and just so so unapologetically funny and magnetic…remembering those years with a big smile.
“Just a terrible loss. Love you.”
Other Gossip Girl stars who have paid tribute include Kelly Rutherford, Ed Westwick and Taylor Momsen.
