Ludwig goes on Twitch ‘hiatus’ after being bullied over his bald head

Internet star Ludwig Ahgren says he’s taking a “hiatus” from streaming until his hair grows back after shaving it off for losing a bet to his own fans.

Ludwig is known for doing the occasional over-the-top stunt for his viewers, but his latest on-stream shenanigans have sparked a hilarious online trend among his fans and fellow content creators.

On February 23, Ludwig went live on Twitch — his new home since his YouTube contract ended in late 2024 — wearing a wolf mask, which he later removed to show off his freshly-shaved head.

According to Ahgren, he’d lost a bet with his chat for failing to reach platinum in League of Legends by January, and was forced to shave off all his hair as punishment.

‘Bald Ludwig’ has become somewhat of a meme in the streaming community, prompting humorous reactions from other streamers like Pokimane, who joked that the shape of his head was “pissing [her] off” and that he “needs to be studied for scientific purposes.”

Ludwig jokes that he’s taking streaming break over people roasting his bald head

In fact, Ludwig has been the butt of so many jokes about his bald head that he’s decided to take a break from streaming until his hair grows back, as told in a joking tweet on February 25.

“I tried keeping TTS on for my first bald stream,” he wrote. “This is hell. Going on a hiatus until my hair grows back.”

Apparently, Ludwig’s chat — and just about everyone else online — has been roasting him over his new ‘do so much that he’s had it with the comments.

Of course, it’s likely that he’s just joking about taking a streaming hiatus, but his announcement has sparked even more lighthearted jabs at his appearance from his fans as he waits for his hair to grow back.

“Just get a wig. LudWIG,” one joked.

“Time to make use of your model,” another said, referencing Ludwig’s new VTuber model, which prompted a heated debate in the VTubing community when he debuted it that same month.

“Lmao bald, but make it fashionable, right? Maybe rock a beanie or some shades ’till then,” another suggested.

For now, it looks like Ludwig is channeling his inner Vin Diesel until his mane grows back in. Until then, fans will probably keep roasting him on X.
