BlueRock has announced that it has acquired White Sky, one of Australia’s leading business management firms for the music and entertainment industry.

White Sky’s loyal client base includes stars like Tame Impala, Dom Dolla, and Julia Jacklin and excels in royalties and tour accounting, business management, and bookeeping. The company was founded by Tom Harris in his bedroom in 2002. Since then, White Sky has been passionate about helping musicians, managers, and record labels succeed down under. By providing specialized business and financial services with an innovative tech-led approach, White Sky has become a household name in the music scene.

With White Sky now part of BlueRock, the company will improve its service offerings. White Sky clients will have access to a broader range of services including tax advisory, insurance, legal, and private wealth advisory, brand and marketing support—all under one roof.

BlueRock says this acquisition will help the company tap into the exciting music industry and work with an experienced team of bookkeepers and accountants to continue providing great services to their clients. BlueRock’s leadership team sees White Sky as a great fit to bolster growth, which has been accomplished over the years through a blend of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

“We are always exploring partnerships that support our growth and provide improved services to Australian business owners, founders, and families,” shares Peter Lalor, BlueRock CEO. “The acquisition of White Sky will enable us to provide unparalleled services to Australia’s fantastic entertainment industry and facilitate significant growth for both firms.”

“This partnership will really lift the level of tailored business support and advice available to the music industry,” adds Tom Harris, White Sky Managing Director. “BlueRock shares our values, our passion for supporting creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs, and our commitment to embracing and developing new technologies. They also bring something new to our industry with their experience in international tax strategy. I’m excited to be leading the incredible White Sky team into this new chapter.”

For White Sky clients after the acquisition, it will be business as usual. The team will remain exactly the same and will continue to work with all existing suppliers and professional partners. The brand, identity, website, and everything else will remain the same. White Sky’s Melbourne-based team has moved in with BlueRock, bringing the headcount to over 400. The Sydney-based White Sky office will continue operations as normal.
