The first trailer for Eden, the upcoming Ron Howard-directed movie that stars Sydney Sweeney, Ana de Armas, and Vanessa Kirby, has been released. Additional stars include Jude Law and Daniel Bruhl.
Despite its star-studded cast and solid (although unremarkable) reviews following its premiere, Eden still does not have a United States distributor, and thus no release date. As a result, you’ll notice that this trailer is not in English, because distribution rights have only be secured for overseas territories (by Amazon Prime Video).
According to reports, the official synopsis for the film is: “Eden follows a group of people fueled by a profound desire for change; in order to turn their back to society they leave everything behind and set their futures on the harsh landscape of the Galapagos.”

Speaking around the time of the film’s premiere, Ana de Armas teased that her character is in a “crazy threesome relationship” in the film.
“I got a little scared, and I told [Ron] I was nervous because it was really out there. He was very supportive and excited. There was no question I wanted to do it. I wanted the challenge,” de Armas told Vanity Fair about the project ahead of its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024.
“Having this crazy threesome relationship, and being a woman of opposites — either she’s sweet and tender and fragile and nervous and scared, or she’s absolutely crazy and dangerous. It was kind of finding that limit: What was the craziest I could get? How far could I go?”
Eden is directed by Oscar winner Ron Howard, known for directing films such as Splash, Parenthood, Backdraft, Apollo 13, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man, The Da Vinci Code, Frost/Nixon, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and more.
