This Is the Healthiest Ice Cream You Can Buy — Best Life

Chocolate. Vanilla. Pistachio. Double brownie fudge chunk. Whatever your pick is, there’s no denying that tucking into a pint of your favorite ice cream after a tough day can feel downright therapeutic. Of course, the cruel reality is that the sweet treat is an indulgence best consumed in moderation on account of all the sugar, saturated fats, and calories most brands contain. But if you’re looking for a less guilty option, you just might be in luck thanks to one new product a clean eating expert says is the “healthiest” ice cream you can buy.

Experts say Ice Cream for Bears is a healthy choice.

Walking through the freezer section can be an exercise in restraint for those with an insatiable sweet tooth. But in a recent TikTok video, clean-eating expert @cleankitchennutrition revealed that grabbing a pint of Ice Cream for Bears might be a better option than your typical dessert.

“This is the healthiest ice cream I’ve ever seen,” he exclaims. He then points out that the frozen treat is made with a short list of clean ingredients: milk, cream, raw honey, skim milk, and egg yolk.

And there’s another benefit to this brand you might not immediately pick up on. “This is one of the only products I’ve seen made with raw honey, which means it’s not pasteurized, which retains a lot of the antioxidants and nutrients in here,” he points out. “Also, all of the dairy here is coming from grass-fed regenerative local farms.”

“They have butterscotch caramel, chocolate, coffee, honey honey, and mint chip!” he adds.

But how does Ice Cream for Bears really taste?

Anyone who has ever delved into the oxymoronic-sounding world of “healthier” ice creams has likely been left disappointed by what they’ve found. However, it appears at least one customer is happy with Ice Cream for Bears where it matters most: Flavor.

In a separate TikTok video, nurse and wellness advocate @ashleyalonzo__ sits down to sample the brand’s vanilla bean and chocolate flavors while marveling at the product’s straightforward ingredients. “All normal ingredients! No gums or fillers,” she gleefully points out.

Her excitement doesn’t dip after taking her first bite of chocolate. “Wow. Really good!” she says. “That was like 10 out of 10, for sure,” before being equally pleased with the vanilla bean flavor.

“This just makes me so happy because the ingredients are so clean,” she concludes. “You have to go try it out, it is so good.”

What do ice cream lovers have to say?

One might expect that a good-tasting ice cream made with cleaner ingredients might be all the information anyone needs to hear before running out to buy themselves a pint. However, it appears that some shoppers aren’t immediately sold on the product.

Users took to the comments section on the @cleankitchennutrition post to air their perceived grievances. Notably, most poked at the relatively high $8 price tag for the pint.

“Why is it so expensive and small?” one person complains—even though others were quick to point out that old-time brands like Haagen Daaz cost around $7 themselves. Some people countered that healthier brands with cleaner ingredients were worth the extra money.

However, there was also pushback on the “healthy” aspect of the ice cream. Users cited the high level of saturated fat and cholesterol per serving of the Honey Honey flavor shown in the video, which represents 55 and 50 percent of your daily recommended intake, respectively. Others pointed out the 320 calories per serving.

The takeaway:

Ice cream fans rejoice: A clean-eating expert says that Ice Cream for Bears is the “healthiest” version of the frozen treat he’s ever seen because the brand uses only simple ingredients like milk, egg yolk, cream, and raw honey.

One pair of shoppers who taste-tested the products came back with rave reviews. But it’s not all good news: Some users shot back at the product for its relatively high price tag and high levels of saturated fat, cholesterol, and calories per serving.
