xQc has stated that he believes internal pressure from other OTK members played a big role in Asmongold leaving the org.
During Asmongold’s Twitch stream on February 21, the streamer confirmed that he was no longer part of OTK, with his political content playing a major factor in his exit.
Later that same day, xQc reacted to the OTK and Asmongold situation on his Kick stream, claiming that he believes Asmon was internally pressured to leave. “It’s not that the haters won though. I mean, brother, even internally they pressured him,” he began.
“I’m not a hater of Will Neff, but he made it very clear that his stance was this guy stops doing the polarizing sh*t, right? This guy stops the opinions that don’t correlate with other opinions or I’m out, and I’m sure other persons internally at OTK feel the same way.”
xQc also said that part of OTK’s reasoning for pressuring Asmon to leave was that people were losing their jobs.
“They’re also compounding the fact that ‘yo dude, when you do these things people lose jobs’…so at that point it’s like, just continuing to exist around the OTK brand is being kind of held against him,” said xQc.
xQc says OTK brand has “stagnated”
When talking about OTK as a whole, xQc stated that he believes the organization’s current style of content has made them less prominent.
“I’m gonna be honest with you, OTK was kind of doing like FaZe style content in the early iteration, but once they got that kind of notoriety or whatever, it all went back to the normal stuff or whatever, and the brand stagnated,” said the streamer.
“No disrespect, I think OTK is still famous. They were doing a lot of collabs early on, and then they stopped. So like, when it comes down to their power as a group, it feels less prominent.”
In other OTK news, Emiru removed nearly all OTK branding from her social media accounts. However, she has since confirmed that she is still with OTK.
