Dr Disrespect responded to Twitch’s new ban system changes by demanding the platform unban him, while labeling his messages to a minor as just “mutual jokes.”
On February 19, Twitch unveiled a series of changes to its ban system, including expiring violations and stricter punishments for repeat offenders.
The Amazon-owned platform claims that these updates will prevent creators from “losing their communities and livelihoods for low-severity violations.” The site further suggested that indefinitely suspected accounts could return in the future.
On his personal Guy Beahm X account, Doc reacted to these updates by urging Twitch to “do the right thing” and unban him while making a series of fiery claims against the purple platform’s staff.
Dr Disrespect accuses “biased” Twitch staff of bypassing the ban system
According to Dr Disrespect, Twitch’s decision to ban him for inappropriate messages he’d sent to a minor was a “mistake.”
“Twitch should’ve never allowed a low level employee to override the entire ban system, which had already determined we didn’t do anything wrong, because of biased opinions of the Doc character.”
Back in June 2024, former Twitch staff broke their silence on Dr Disrespect’s mysterious ban on the platform, claiming he had been sending inappropriate messages to someone he knew was underage.
Although Beahm admitted to sending the messages, weeks later in a YouTube stream, he would accuse Twitch of taking the DMs out of context and having a vendetta against him – something he reiterated in his February 20 post.
“They could’ve reached out and had a quick, five-minute call and realize these mutual jokes and bantering never had serious intentions,” he claimed. “Pathetic.”
Dr Disrespect urges Twitch to reverse permaban
“Although things have been ‘settled,’ Twitch should do the right thing and correct their mistake of permanently banning the Doc by reinstating the channel,” he said, referencing his lawsuit against the streaming site.
Following the reason for his ban being revealed, Dr Disrespect was demonetized on YouTube, booted from his gaming studio Midnight Society and ended up joining Rumble to lead its gaming section.
On January 30, Doc announced that YouTube had remonetized his channel, once again allowing him to make money streaming.
The Google-owned video platform explained the decision, stating: “Creators who are suspended from this program can reapply for access, and after careful review of the channel’s recent activity, we’ve reinstated.”
We’re all in on Rumble Gaming.
This only makes me double down on the Rumble platform even more. They had our back since Day 1.
The gaming community is just getting started on Rumble and I’m glad to be a part of it in these early stages and for the long haul.
Rumble…

Despite wishing Twitch would unban his account, it seems like the two-time would only view this as symbolic, as he doubled down on his support for Rumble, saying the site “had our back since Day 1.”
