KENDRICK Lamar’s $35million real estate empire has been revealed – including a Bel-Air mansion and Brooklyn penthouse with stunning views of the NYC skyline.
The Grammy-winner’s collection of incredible properties is a far cry from his humble beginnings growing up in apartments and small homes throughout Compton, CA.
The Super Bowl halftime performer has swooped up several properties since hitting it big in 2012 after his second album, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, turned into a huge hit under the mentorship of rap legend Dr. Dre.
His most recent purchase was in 2023 – shelling out a whopping $8.6m on a stunning three-story Brooklyn Heights penthouse atop atop Pierhouse.
BROOKLYN BOUND
The 10-unit apartment building has some famous New York neighbors – including Ed Sheeran, Matt Damon and Amy Schumer.
The 3,140-square-foot pied-à-terre has four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a wave of high-end features – including Gaggenau appliances, marble counters, and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooks gorgeous views.

The unit’s 2,000-square-foot outdoor space, along with a separate rooftop deck, is the real star of the home as it features 360 degree views of lower Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge and the East River.
As the apartment is part of a luxury building, Kendrick, 37, also gets to enjoy an array of amenities such as 24-hour concierge service, a massive fitness center and a meditation studio.
Residents of Pierhouse also get to revel in the luxuries of the adjacent 1 Hotel – having full access to their rooftop swimming pool and various bars.
PRINCE OF BEL-AIR
In 2022, the Not Like Us lyricist slapped down $15.8 million for a gorgeous Bel-Air estate that’s steeped in Hollywood history.
The seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom gated property sits on nearly an acre in the prestigious Los Angeles neighborhood.
Renowned architect Edward Fickett built the 8,000-square-foot ranch estate in 1951 and comes with multiple buildings on the compound.
The main house has five bedrooms, a den, an office, a gym, a playroom, a 4k theatre, and slanted glass ceilings that make for a beautiful sunroom.
Outside sits a koi pond, a massive swimming pool with a built-in jacuzzi, lush tree-covered paths and a big lawn to host family gatherings.
The property – which is surrounded with Oak and olive trees for ultimate privacy – also includes a two-story guest house for his loved ones.
LIFE’S A BEACH
In 2019, Kendrick swooped up a gorgeous Manhattan Beach abode for $9.7m that’s in South Bay, CA – just a few miles from his hometown of Compton.
Not much is known about the property – which was never listed publicly as it was quietly swooped up by the rapper who completely renovated the home.
In addition to adding top-of-the-line finishes in the home, he also added two levels to the three-story house.
Though the home is not oceanfront, it’s just one row of houses away from the water.
The rooftop deck offers scenic views of the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Monica Mountains and views of the city.
CALABASAS IS CALLING
Kendrick’s first big real estate purchase after becoming a multi-millionaire came in 2017 when he picked up a large family home in Calabasas, CA – just down the street from the Kardashians.
He paid $2.6m for the six bedroom, six bathroom 5,433-square-foot house in the prestigious gated community of Calabasas Park Estates.
There’s a romantic courtyard in the front of the house after the long driveway that is accented with a vibrant green lawn.
French windows fill the space up with loads of natural light as panoramic views of the mountains and rolling hills can be seen from almost any room.
The primary suite includes a double-sided fireplace and a spacious bathroom with a jet tub.
Stainless steel Viking appliances fill the kitchen – which also has a sizable breakfast area.
The resort-style backyard has a huge swimming pool, outdoor BBQ and spacious lounge area for entertaining.
KENDRICK’S ROOTS
These collections of homes looks different than Kendrick’s humble beginnings growing up in Compton, California.
Though the music icon has credited his loving parents for their supportive upbringing, he has been candid about having to move often growing up due to financial stress.
He spent many years of his childhood moving from one or two bedroom apartments throughout South Los Angeles – and even had times where his family was homeless.
They spent time in Section 8 government housing and relied on welfare and food stamps to get by.
After his parents had two more sons as well as a daughter, his family eventually settled into a three-bedroom, two bathroom home in Compton, CA.
The 1,200-square-foot house is the album cover to the rapper’s 2012 album, Good Kid M.A.A.D City.
