The White Stripes, Soundgarden, Mariah Carey, Oasis, OutKast, and Phish are among the nominees for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2025 class.

Other finalists include Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, Billy Idol, Maná, Joe Cocker, Chubby Checker, Bad Company, and The Black Crowes.

To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.

Of this year’s nominees, OutKast, Phish, Idol, Cocker, Checker, Bad Company, and The Black Crowes are on the ballot for the first time.

The Class of 2025 will be announced in late April, and will formally be enshrined during an induction ceremony held in Los Angeles this fall. The inductees will be determined by an international voting body of more than 1,200 artists, historians, and members of the music industry, in addition to a fan vote on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s website.

Last year’s class included Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Matthews Band, Cher, A Tribe Called Quest, Mary J. Blige, Peter Frampton, Foreigner, and Kool & The Gang.
