DAVID Letterman crashed The Tonight Show as he broke retirement unexpededly.
Making a surprise cameo on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (February 10), David gate-crashed the live show – leaving viewers at home and those in the studio gobsmacked.

Interrupting Jimmy’s monologue to welcome his musical director Paul Shaffer and The World’s Most Dangerous Band, David left viewers taken aback.
As the late night talk show veteran walked onto the stage, Jimmy was shook to the core as he exclaimed: “Oh, my God!”
He went on to say: “David Letterman?! My God! What are you doing here?”
Completely chilled out, David said: “Is this the 23rd hour of the Today show?”
He then turned to the musical director and said: “Paul?! What are you doing here?!”
David and Paul have a close bond after he spent 33 years as the talk show host’s bandleader on Late Night with David Letterman.
The Late Show with David Letterman ran from 1982 until 2015.
“You know, it’s a funny story,” Paul joked.
“You ever taken too much Ambien and then you wake up somewhere with no clue how the hell you got there?”

David responded: “Wow. You’ve been reading my diary.”
Jimmy then chimed in and suggested that they all make a TikTok video together.
David then joked: “I made an enormous deal with the Chinese government,” with Jimmy saying they should do the “handshake challenge” for the viral moment.
“Yeah, that was lame,” David added, saying, “What I really want to do is hit you in the face with a tortilla.”
David then proceeded to hit Jimmy in the face with a tortilla, with both chat show hosts slapping one another repeatedly.

This comes after it was revealed that David’s childhood home is currently listed on Airbnb.
Although he no longer resides there or owns the home, the current owner has listed the home, which is situated in Indianapolis, for booking on Airbnb.
The home can accommodate up to 6 guests and is available on Airbnb for $200 a night.
