Reese Witherspoon is producing a Legally Blonde prequel series for Prime Video and a new report has revealed the two actresses who are finalists for the role of young Elle Woods.
The prequel series will follow Elle’s life before she goes to college and law school. During a recent visit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Reese opened up about the auditioning process to find the new Elle and how she’s watched “so many tapes.”
“I just love them all so much and they’re doing such a good job,” Reese said about the actresses who have been auditioning.

Deadline reports that these two young actresses have “tested for the role” and have emerged as “finalists” for the job. Sources told the outlet that “no decision has been made yet; one is expected soon.”
Lexi Minetree
Lexi Minetree was previously seen in Tubi’s The Murdaugh Murders movie in 2023 and she has also appeared on a 2024 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She’ll be seen in the upcoming Lifetime movie My Amish Double Life, which premieres on February 22.
