Sparks have announced they are returning with a new album titled MAD! later this year through their new label home, Transgressive Records. Though the duo is keeping further details under wraps, they’ve shared a new single, “Do Things My Own Way,” and revealed international tour dates.
Accompanied by handclaps and soaring electric guitars, brothers Ron and Russell Mael imbue the lyrics to “Do Things My Own Way” with a combined sense of defiance and whimsy: “Gonna do things my own way/ I’m Howard Hughes/ In Jordan Twos.”
As Sparks shared in a statement, the song represents “our mantra since 1972, amplified in 2025.”
Sparks’ live return will begin on June 8th in Kyoto, Japan, and also feature stops throughout the UK and Europe, including cities like Tokyo, London, Paris, Berlin, and Milan. Find the full schedule below.
